Imagine Charity hosted our inaugural golf day on 21 October 2016 in support of those living with Cerebral Palsy. The charity exists to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by Cerebral Palsy, aiming to minimise their difficulties and that of their caregivers. The day was a resounding success, the golfers soon getting into the swing of the day and opening their wallets generously.
Imagine Charity golf day was held at the pristine Steyn City Club house and golf course. Guests were treated to a superb Four-ball Alliance Tournament with golf-carts, a scrumptious Halfway House meal – followed by an elegant gourmet cocktail dinner at the end of the day, accompanied by excellent sponsored beverages.
Welcomed with an ice-cold beer after an enjoyable round of golf plus networking with clients and friends, guests were entertained by Michael Scholz, South Africa’s premier trick shot practitioner in action. Master of Ceremonies, legendary sportsman Fanie De Villiers, was his usual humorous self, putting guests at ease and challenging all to greater levels of generosity. The cocktail evening closed tastefully with expert guided whiskey tasting indulgence. As one of our guests commented, the charity “threw one of the best golf days he had ever attended”.
The ambiance was incredible and we are grateful for everyone’s contribution, fun attitude and encouragement. Prizes were given out to the lucky winners on the day, alongside a raffle in which some great donations were given.
Congratulations to our top 3 Four-ball team winners of the day!
1st Prize: Darrel Baillie, Jacques Kok, Renaldo Bothma and Nazir Mohamed
2nd Prize: Michael Blatherwick, Daniel Blatherwick, Alasdair Hawley and Mitchell Hawley
