On Saturday, 20th June we held our first fundraiser for the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge 2015. It was Rob Hawley’s Curry Fundraiser.
A huge thanks to all those that attended and helped us make the event the success that it was.
Last year this event raised R2233 and it was more successful this year raising R2985! I have heard rumours that next year’s one is expected to be even bigger and better… we will see!
Thank you to Sloane Meat Market for the discount on the lamb and chicken, to Chilli Tree for the sponsored samoosa’s & pickles and to Veronica & Logan Pather for loaning us chairs and tables for the event.
We also had a birthday in the house which was of course celebrated with cake, candles and singing… thank you Gaynor for sharing your birthday with our fundraiser. There was a beautiful hamper of spices, recipes, sauces, snacks etc up for grabs and the lucky winner of the draw was Catherine Permuy – congrats!
Well done Rob Hawley on being the first to raise and exceed your R2000 challenge.
